We have used The Chimney Sweep for several years. As always, the service was very professional and efficient. Adrian Brooker was on time and did a thorough job of cleaning our chimney. He also went on the roof and inspected the chimney and cap. He let us know that it was fine for now, but we should consider waterproofing it in the future. There was no sales push, just giving us information. We highly recommend The Chimney Sweep.

Outstanding service without up-selling. I initially got a quote from HBR. They wanted to "acidize" my chimney to remove creosote, which was not necessary, and the cost was going to be $2,500. They also didn't mention a couple other items that needed attention (which I'm sure they would have found, and charged more for had they done the initial work). The Chimney Sweep guys were prompt, courteous, and professional, swept the chimney, replaced the fireplace floor and fire starter, and left he area spotless. All for less than half what HBR wanted. Highly recommended. Thank you Chimney Sweep!

Josh Rundell serviced our chimney on Saturday morning. He was punctual, kind, and very professional. He reassured us there were no birds in the chimney and made our fireplace look immaculate. Good price as well.

Adrian has been to our home twice and was nothing short of spectacular both times. We recently tried another local chimney sweep due to short-notice availability and had a bad experience (going so far as asking other company to leave our home). Adrian and team have our business for life - they are fair, transparent, honest, hard working people that want homeowners to enjoy their fireplace.

As I live in a town house that has a dryer that vents up through the roof, when I found Chimney Sweep I was thrilled. They service this unusual vent situation in an efficient and professional manner. I have used their services for decades and rely on their always providing terrific personnel to attend to this need. Thank you Chimney Sweep.

Chimney Sweep Estimator was professional and explained in detail what it would take to correct my fireplace issuses. Prior to leaving my driveway he sent me a proposal. Based on my experience with Josh I called the office and scheduled the work he recommended.

St. Paul FAQs

Common Questions From St. Paul Homeowners

Most St. Paul homeowners who burn wood regularly need a sweep once a year, ideally before the first cold front hits North Texas in the fall. Homes with gas logs or fireplaces used less often can typically go longer between sweeps, but we still recommend an annual inspection to catch cracked crowns, animal nests, or flue damage before they turn into bigger repairs.
Yes. Our Wylie shop handles commercial chimney sweeping, inspection, and repair for properties throughout St. Paul and the surrounding area, in addition to residential service. We can also set up recurring inspection schedules for property managers who need documentation for insurance or code compliance.
Not the chimney work itself, but it can mean an older or custom-built masonry chimney that hasn't been inspected in a while. Watch for white, chalky staining on the brick, rust on the damper or firebox, or a musty smell near the fireplace. Our camera inspection service can look deep inside the flue to confirm what's actually happening before you pay for repairs you may not need.
Our shop is on Carrie Ln. in Wylie, and since St. Paul borders Wylie on three sides, we're able to schedule St. Paul-area calls quickly rather than routing a technician in from across the metro. Call (972) 442-0227 and our team will get you on the schedule, with priority handling for safety concerns like smoke in the home or a suspected animal in the chimney.
A standard inspection covers the firebox, damper, flue liner, chimney crown, and exterior masonry, checking for creosote buildup, cracks, water damage, and any blockages from birds or animals. If we find an issue, we'll walk you through exactly what it is, show you photos or camera footage when relevant, and give you a straightforward quote before any repair work begins.
